 Aria Automation deployments fail with SecurityException Cannot execute request


Issue/Introduction

  • When deploying a Virtual Machine that utilizes NSX for security group properties or NSX related network objects, the deployment fails and displays the following error message 

  • The following error message is found within the log below:
    /services-logs/prelude/provisioning-service-app/file-logs/provisioning-service-app.log:

    PKIX path building failed: sun.security.provider.certpath.SunCertPathBuilderException: unable to find valid certification path to requested target

 

Environment

  • Aria Automation 8.x

Cause

The endpoint within Aria Automation 8.x has a certificate that is not accepted.

Resolution

Re-trust the certificate by re-validating the NSX Cloud Account and the associated endpoints.
