 Inventory Sync to Aria Orchestrator fails after upgrading to 8.18.1 with error "LCMVRO10037"

Issue/Introduction

  • When attempting to trigger inventory sync to Aria Orchestrator from vASL UI > Lifecycle Operations > Environments > Aria Orchestrator env > Trigger Inventory Sync > Fails with unable to SSH using root credentials. Error LCMVRO10037 despite having correct credentials. 
  • As a part of the Inventory Sync, the vASL would query the authentication provider for the Aria Orchestrator and would retrieve a Null Pointer Reference. 
    When manually executing vracli vro authentication No data is retrieved.

Aria Suite Lifecycle 8.18 

Aria Orchestrator 8.18.1

Cause

Known issue with vracli vro authentication command not being able to retrieve the required authentication provider, 

Resolution

  • Manually reset the orchestrator's auth provider. For procedure, click here
  • Unregister the Orchestrator instance from vASL. For procedure, click here
    Note: Ensure to keep the check box unchecked for the field "Delete associated VMs".
  • Re-import the Orchestrator into the Aria Automation's environment. For procedure, click here.
  • Validate the correct authentication provider configurations reflect in vASL's inventory. 
  • Retrigger inventory sync and validate the status.
