I don’t like telling people how to live their lives, but for a strong DevOps career, you should probably know this.
A Kubernetes cluster setup in 2 hrs can take 4 hrs to fix networking issues.
A Terraform script written in 1 hr can take 2 hrs to recover from state corruption.
A CI/CD pipeline configured in 3 hrs can take 5 hrs to debug deployment errors.
A Docker image built in 1 hr can take 4 hrs to fix dependency issues.
An autoscaling policy configured in 2 hrs can take 3 hrs to troubleshoot scaling anomalies.
A DNS record added in 30 mins can take 2 hrs to debug resolution delays.
Tools aren't going to make you a great DevOps engineer.
Your way of thinking, spotting patterns, and ability to understanding context will.
