 Difference between a Physical CPU, a Logical CPU, a Virtual CPU, and a Core

Core: A core is a part of the physical CPU. Modern CPUs can have multiple cores, allowing them to perform multiple tasks simultaneously.

Logical CPU: This is a term used to refer to the number of independent tasks a CPU or core can process simultaneously. For example, with Hyper-Threading technology, a single core can act like two logical CPUs.

Virtual CPU: In the context of VMware, a virtual CPU (vCPU) is a unit of processing power that is assigned to a virtual machine. It corresponds to a logical CPU on the physical host.
